  • August 19
    Deaths: Preliminary Data for 2007” – This report features the first 2007 data on mortality in the U.S., including the latest figures on infant mortality, life expectancy, and leading causes of death. Data are based on over 90% of death certificates from all 50 states as part of the National Vital Statistics System.
  • August 26
    “The Effect of Hurricane Katrina: Births Before and After” – This report presents birth data for the region affected by Hurricane Katrina, comparing the 12-month period before and after the storm according to a wide variety of characteristics including maternal age, race, Hispanic origin, marital status, and educational attainment; medical care utilization by pregnant women; and infant characteristics or birth outcomes.
  • September 9
    “Injury Episodes and Circumstances: National Health Interview Survey, 1997-2007″ – This report presents trend statistics on incidents of injury in the United States. Data on causes of injury, circumstances, prevalence, rankings, and demography are also featured in this report.

    What is the latest national/regional and statewide use-rate data available by Medical/Surgical, Obstetrics, Behavioral Health, Rehabilitation and pediatrics and where can I find it?

    Hi Steve,
    If you mean visits to differnt types of doctors, take a look at the tables in http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/nhsr/nhsr003.pdf. Unfortunately, we only have national data, not state data.
